photo essay
I took most of these photos in the woods of the Berkshires, but the 9th photo is a picture of Norman Rockwell's studio and the 10th photo is a picture of a park bench. I was forced to go on this vacation so that's why I did my photo essay on the Berkshires. I was just trying to capture things I thought were pretty, and I hope I was able to show how beautiful the Berkshires are through my photos. My images capture the narrative of my essay because it takes you through my whole trip of the Berkshires. We first started at the no trespassing sign, which then we found the arrow which lead us to the river and the woods. Then after that, we went to the Norman Rockwell museum where I took the picture of his studio and the bench. The first two and last two photos were kind of like the "outcasts" of my photo essay. I made the first photo my no trespassing picture and then the second photo the arrow on the tree because that was where I began taking my photos and the arrow is leading you to the photos I've taken. The 3rd picture and the 8th picture are both pictures of a river and I placed them in those spots so that the 3rd is third picture from the beginning and the 8th picture is the third one from the end. I did the same thing with the 4th and 7th picture, but instead of them being related by the subject of the photo, they are related because both photos have a the same close-up view point. The 5th and 6th photos are also unified by subject matter, like the 3rd and 8th photos, since they both are trees.
